Los valores con exponentes pueden ser manejados directamente con una calculadora de bolsillo que tenga tecla para exponentes.<\/p>\n<p>Para c\u00e1lculos manuales, recuerde que el signo +\u00a0 o &#8211; en frente de un exponente nos dice que si hay que mover el punto decimal a la derecha (para el signo +) o a la izquierda (para el signo -), y el exponente nos dice que tanto hay que moverlo. Ejemplos: 2.540 x 10-5(a la menos 5) = .0000254, y 3.048 x 10<span class=\"st\">\u00b2 = 304.8 etc. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Los valores equivalentes de todas la unidades son mostrados en la misma l\u00ednea horizontal. Quiz\u00e1s la manera m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de utilizar estas tablas es mirar hacia la columna de la unidad a ser convertida y encontrar la l\u00ednea en al cual el \u00ab1\u00bb aparece.<\/p>\n<p>Mover entonces hacia la izquierda o la derecha de la columna de la unidad deseada. Esa figura es el m\u00faltiplo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ejemplo:<\/strong> Mire hacia abajo en la columna de \u00abpulgada\u00bb. La tabla muestra 11 pulgadas = 1.578 x 10-5(a la menos 5) milla.
